How to check

1. Find your VIN on the windshield, registration card or insurance card.
2. Enter it in the NHTSA recall lookup, which shows whether your vehicle has unrepaired recalls.
3. If a recall is open, contact your local dealership to have the recalled part fixed. NHTSA states this repair is free.
