Dial Chevrolet of Chicago is committed to providing a convenient and professional vehicle purchasing experience, including assistance with vehicle transportation when requested by the customer.
Shipping Arrangements
Vehicle shipping or transportation services may be arranged through the dealership or through an independent third-party transportation provider selected by the dealership or customer. Shipping arrangements are considered a separate service from the vehicle purchase transaction and may involve additional costs.
The customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- Shipping dates and delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by weather, transportation availability, carrier schedules, mechanical issues, or other circumstances outside the dealership’s control.
- The dealership is not responsible for delays caused by third-party transportation companies, carriers, weather conditions, government restrictions, road conditions, or other events beyond the dealership’s reasonable control.
- The customer is responsible for all shipping, transportation, storage, delivery, and related charges unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Vehicle Inspection and Acceptance
Prior to shipment, the dealership may document the vehicle’s condition through photographs, inspection reports, mileage verification, and delivery documentation.
Upon delivery, the customer is responsible for inspecting the vehicle and notifying the dealership and/or transportation provider of any visible damage or concerns at the time of delivery.
Failure to document and report visible concerns at the time of delivery may limit the customer’s ability to seek reimbursement or resolution from the transportation provider.
Transportation Damage
If transportation damage occurs, the customer agrees to work with the transportation provider and applicable insurance carrier regarding any claims. The dealership will assist the customer with documentation when reasonably requested but is not responsible for damage caused during transportation by an independent carrier.
Out-of-State Purchases and Delivery
For customers purchasing a vehicle from outside Illinois, the customer is responsible for:
- Applicable registration requirements in their state of residence.
- Any additional taxes, fees, inspections, emissions requirements, or government charges.
- Ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
Return or Cancellation Impact
If a vehicle return or cancellation is approved under the dealership’s Vehicle Return Policy, the customer remains responsible for all shipping, transportation, pickup, storage, and recovery costs associated with returning the vehicle to the dealership.
Any shipping costs already incurred, including third-party carrier fees, deposits, or transportation charges, may be deducted from any refund or credit issued, as permitted by applicable law and the terms of the purchase agreement.
Dial Chevrolet of Chicago strives to make vehicle transportation simple, safe, and convenient while maintaining transparency regarding all costs and responsibilities associated with vehicle delivery.
